One Author or Unlimited Authors?

For a long time the normal practice in the Publishing industry has been that one author sits in his/her house and write a book. After several months of working together with an Editor the story is finally printed and published. If it is popular the author takes on the next book and depending on productivity there will be a new book in a year or so.

To the reader that thought is not that appealing. If I read a book I like I would love to read more the next day and not wait another year or worst case even longer. At those moments you wish that there would be more than one author.

At Second61.com we will have more than one author. In fact there can be an unlimited number of Authors. And you won't have to wait a year for the next story to be published.

There are those that have a Secret...

Have you ever wondered how some people just seem to have extra time? They get things done faster than they should. Others just disappear in a crowd within a moment. It would appear as if they knew how to stop the clock.

There are those that have a secret. They cannot stop time, since no one can. But they know how to use that moment between each new minute. Those who share the secret call it Second 61.

Where do I start reading?

Second 61 is not really a book. It is more like and endless resource of Short Stories, all centered around the same topic. This means that you could more or less pick it up anywhere, reading any random story that is published here.

We will put together some collections over time to help newcomers, especially as the number of stories continue to increase. But Authors can choose to write stories that connect to others, or stories that happened much earlier or perhaps in the future.

Some stories will of course be easier to understand if you have read other stories. But I think that you will pretty soon get a feeling for what is possible and what is not inside the 61st second.

Reader, Author or Both?

At Second61.com You can choose to be either a Reader or an Author. Or both. Anyone can read and participate by giving Authors feedback through comments. And even if you don't want to write a story yourself, you can pitch ideas in the Forum and perhaps an Author will pick it up.
